Privacy policy
Information about personal data processing when using our website and sending enquiries.
Who processes your data?
LJEKARNE VUKOVIĆ MAKARSKA, Stjepana Radića 7, 21300 Makarska, Croatia, personal identification number (OIB): 23787878421, court registration number (MBS): 060387319, processes personal data associated with this website and enquiries sent to our pharmacies. For privacy questions and rights requests, contact Miljenko Vuković at kontakt@ljekarna-vukovic.com or call +385 21 611 609.
What data do we process?
When you contact us, we may process your name, email address, telephone number, message and attachments you provide. Website access may involve technical data such as your IP address, access time, browser type and server security logs. Your external-content preference is stored in your browser.
Purposes and legal bases
We use contact details and messages to respond to enquiries and provide information about our services and locations. General enquiries rely on our legitimate interest in communicating with visitors; requests for steps before a contract rely on those steps at your request. Security and maintenance logs rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure. Statutory processing and retention rely on legal obligations. Loading Google Maps relies on your consent.
Email enquiries and health data
Please do not send more health information than necessary, including medical reports or treatment details. Health information is a special category of personal data. Sending a message does not provide general consent for further use. Processing also requires an applicable condition under Article 9 GDPR, such as healthcare provision subject to professional secrecy, where applicable. We may direct you to a telephone call or an in-person visit when email is unsuitable.
Planned tools: Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel
We plan to use Google Analytics to analyse website traffic, Google Ads to measure and personalise advertising, and Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure conversions and optimise campaigns. These tools are not currently active. After introduction, analytics will require separate consent for analytics cookies, and Google Ads and Meta Pixel will require separate consent for marketing cookies. Rejecting these categories will not restrict website access. Before activation, we will update information about specific cookies, retention periods, recipients and data transfers and ask for the appropriate choice again. Your current Google Maps consent does not cover these tools.
Who may receive your data?
Authorised staff and providers of hosting, IT support, maintenance and email services may access data as needed for their services. Authorities may receive data where required by law. Google receives visit data when you allow embedded maps, which remain blocked before consent.
Google Maps and transfers outside the EU/EEA
Once you allow external content, your browser connects to Google to display maps. Google may receive your IP address, browser and device information and use its own cookies under its privacy policy. The provider for EEA users is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google services may involve transfers outside the EU/EEA, including to the USA. Google explains its processing and transfer mechanisms in the policies linked below. The directions link opens Google Maps outside our website at your request.
How long is data retained?
Enquiry data is retained for the time needed to respond and conclude the communication. Further retention depends on related legal obligations and periods for bringing or defending legal claims. Technical logs are retained as needed for security, diagnostics and incident resolution. Your browser consent preference is retained for 180 days, after which we ask again. Clearing website data in your browser also removes your preference.
Cookies and local storage
Necessary technologies support language preferences and remembering your choice. The localStorage entry “lv-cookie-consent-v1” stores your Google Maps preference, date and settings version; it is not an analytics identifier. Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel are planned but not yet activated; analytics and marketing cookies are currently disabled. External content is disabled until you allow it. You can withdraw or change consent through “Cookie settings” in every page footer. Withdrawal immediately removes embedded maps but cannot retract data already sent to Google or remove Google cookies; manage those through your browser or Google.
Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Send requests to kontakt@ljekarna-vukovic.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP). Providing data for a general enquiry is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without the necessary contact details.
Security and updates
Personal data requires appropriate technical and organisational protection and access limited to those who need it for their work. These rules may be updated to reflect business, technology or legal changes. The latest update date appears on this page.
